On the fourteenth of November one thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven, having regard to the dispensation of a ban granted by Mgr in favour of the hereafter named, and after the publication of two banns of marriage, made at the sermon of the parish mass on the two preceding Sundays, between Lazare Boley, soldier of the colony, company of gunners-bombers, son of the late Laurent Boley and of Marguerite Bertheau, his father and mother of the parish of Semur, diocese of Autun on the one hand; and of Marie Lanclu, daughter of the late Pierre Lanclu, known as Lapierre, and the deceased Charlotte Chandonné, her parents of this parish, on the other hand, no impediment to the said marriage having been discovered, we, the undersigned vicar, received their mutual consent and gave them the nuptial blessing according to the form prescribed by our mother, the Holy Church, in the presence of Pierre Menard and Marie Nertou, friends of the groom, and Jacques Gosselin, brother-in-law, André Chandonné, uncle of the bride, and several other relatives and friends, some of whom signed as did the bride and groom, and others who declared they knew how to sign. The document was read aloud, as required.
